Monthly Income Estimates

So let’s talk numbers.

How much money could I make in a month? What are startup costs?
What is the cost of running this business??

THE GOAL IS ALWAYS PROFIT!

Start-up costs for most franchises average $20K to $100K.

  • Our Founders Club Start Up Fee is currently $2500!

  • This price will go up, so getting involved early is key!

  • $2500 includes EVERYTHING (except LLC Creation Fees).

First Year Business Expenses

Start Up Costs $2500

Creating an LLC is NOT required.
You do not have to do this right away and can wait until the business is profitable. However, if you create the LLC (or run the business as a DBA for an existing LLC) you can write off your start-up costs up to $5000.

LLC Creation Fees $375
Required State Agency Fee $200

Your Franchise Buy-In
includes enough
supplies for 10 tans.

Each tan requires 2-3oz of solution. Most bottles of solution are 34oz.
So you can expect to get 12-15 tans out of each bottle.
This brings the cost of the solution to about $4.70/tan.

With your buy-in, you receive multiple bottles of solution,
But you will need to replenish your supplies.

Amazon Price List
100 nose plugs for $12.99 = $0.12/tan
50 Hair Nets for $9.99 = $.20/tan
120 Pairs of Sticky Feet for $25.49 = $.21/tan

Bringing the total cost per tan to about $5.25.

Glow Girl offers monthly memberships for $25, and this is before any boosts are added to any appointment. This is the minimum fee for any tan. Meaning you will make at least $19.75 per standard airbrush tan. If they upgrade to an ultimate tan, your profit is about $37.75 per tan. Keep in mind, these are membership prices, and non-members pay higher price tags.

Retail products are purchased from Norvell at 50% off for salon owners.
Meaning if you purchase a bottle of Prolong Color Extending Lotion, the cost for you will be $15, and it retails at $30.

You can offer as little or as much retail product as you would like at your location.
And you pay NO ROYALTIES or COMMISSIONS. You keep all of your sales and all of your tips.

Now, let’s estimate that you sell 20 tans a month. 10 of those tans are standard, and 10 of those tans are ultimate. Let’s say that 5 of those 20 tans are members.

Member Standard Tans = $25 x 2 = $50
Member Ultimate Tans = $45 x 3 = $129
Non-Member Standard Tans = $30 x 8 $240
Non-Member Ultimate Tans = $50 x 7 = $350

Your total income for the month is $769
Your cost for the month is about $52.50 + $72.50 =
$125
Your total profit for the month is $644!
This is without any retail sold or tips accounted for.
This is about $8000/year, which is a SOLID side hustle! Book more tans, make more money!

AFTER YOUR FIRST YEAR, the ANNUAL OPERATIONS COST is your only overhead outside of replenishing supplies! Take good care of your spray gun, cleaning it after events and tans. Wipe down the inside of your overspray tent weekly. Swap out the filter in your overspray fan once every 3 months.

THE SKY IS THE LIMIT with how much you can make each month. Your availability and ability to pitch yourself to prospective clients are the only challenges you will face. There is no overhead because you are operating out of your own house or at the homes of your clients.

You can market your business at wedding expos, local gyms for bodybuilder training, dance studios, and all-star cheerleading gyms. Scope out area salons that offer services like hair, makeup, and even tattoos. Pitch your company to the owner and offer to come one day a week to take appointments.

Speak to local PTA presidents and schools to market yourself for Prom & Homecoming. Speak to local wedding planners to offer service packages to wedding parties! You are your only boundary when it comes to growth.

The Franchise fee is very affordable now, but it will increase as we accept founders!
